About Us

Busia Beyond Crime is a registered non-profit organization in Busia County started in 2012 and registered in 2015 by a retired military officer of the rank of major whose aim was to ensure that the environment the community lives in is peaceful, habitable and also community livelihood is drastically improved. The organization works in partnership with both national and county governments and other development partners with similar objectives.

The community grassroots organization’s main objective therefore is addressing crime, community problems, and improvement of the livelihood of the community through community policing and football.

  • To prevent any sort of violence in the society
  • To build the capacity of the community for sustainability
  • To partner with law enforcers and other stakeholders to build community structures to proactively prevent crime, violent extremism and improve community livelihood.
  • To prevent modern-day slavery, and human trafficking and enhance child protection measures.
